This particular costume used much the same technique of combining fabric, foam and paint to get the fairly good looking end product we see here. Built to fit my wife, who's body type was more appropriate to the costume than mine, it is worn much like a suit of armor. It consists of several seperate pieces: feet, lower legs, upper legs, diaper, chest cage, upper arms, lower arms, gloves and the head piece all worn over top of a body suit. Very comfortable and easy to move in. Screen mesh located on the sides of the head between the skull 'ribs' provided good all round vision. The jaws opened and closed and the lips 'snarled' using an RC servo, battery pack and a 'tongue' switch located inside the headpiece beside the wearers mouth. The teeth are fake fingernails painted chrome and the druel is clear silicone. I was never happy with the smoked lens on the front and hope to replace it with a full length formed unit in the near future. |
